Day 13 of 30: St. Patty's Day!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Green has inately been my favorite colour since before I could talk. My mother tells me that as a child I always chose the green kiddie plastic cup to drink from, and always used up all my green crayon colours first out of the box. So it's just plain natural that I love St. Pattys Day in all it's beautiful green-ocity!

After work today I had some important tasks on my to-do list that I'd been putting off. My husband and I picked up my wedding rings from the jeweler, went grocery shopping at the Community Health Foods store, and visited Crate & Barrel to update our wedding reception registry. So needless to say, we ate out for supper. Normally quote scary! I ordered chicken, rice & veggies, proud of myself that I could be so heathy. Normally I flop and end up eating horribly greasy foods in restaurant situations. Then I achieve the maximum guilt level. I refer to this phenomenon as "Guilt Fries", "Guilt Candy", or "Guilt Pizza". You get the idea.

When we finally got home after 9pm I was exhausted. All I wanted to do was plop myself down on the couch and eat snacks while watching tv. Instead I met up with Mrs. Jillian and we rocked out a sweat-filled 20 minutes.

Just to clear things up, 20 minutes is not really very long at all. If you're playing video games, watching tv, or generally doing anything that requires laziness. However, 20 minutes seems like a long time when you're getting your ass busted and sweating like pig all over your yoga mat.

Glad to say I did my best today. I ate well and got in my workout even though it was late. I owe it to myself to keep on moving!

Day 13 completed!
