Wedding Reception

This weekend was our wedding reception back home for all who couldn't make it out to the Dominican Republic last November, and generally for all our friends and family who wanted to come celebrate with us.

Friday began with a workout with my personal trainer and was really nice. I was feeling good. Then I went off to a massage which was much needed. I met my parents at the airport to pick up my grandma and we all went out for a family dinner, including my uncle, and my step sister and her husband. It was a really nice evening. Later that night our friend from Seattle dropped by and stayed the weekend.

Saturday was a crazy day full of wedding reception preparations. My mom and dad, cousin John, and friend Jeff all pitched in to help get things organized. Thank you all! My husband and I were on the go from 9am until after 5pm, when we were late for the limo to the hall. I was altering my bridesmaids dress as she did my hair and I did my makeup as she tied up my dress. It was pure chaos. We finally got into the limo with our friends, there were 10 of us, and made our way to the hall. Stopping for booze at the corner liquor store on the way of course.

The night was great and we had a blast seeing everyone, eating Indian food and cupcakes and dancing. After 11pm the party really picked up and we had some great laughs.

Sunday we hosted a brunch at our house for about 20 family and we made batches of homemade pancakes, bacon and eggs. It was insane trying to feed everyone at once but we got it done. Team work ftw! My husband and I work really well together. We had three babies at our place and it was very cute to have them crawling all over. Baby Maralynn was learning to walk in our livingroom! Yay Maralynn!

By 530pm eveyone had gone and we were asleep in our livingroom by 630! It was a busy and crazy weekend and we loved every minute of it. We got to see so many people whom we love! Organized chaos as my husband put it. Life is grand.
