More Running

Today at lunch break I went for a run again. Week 1 day 3 of the couch to 5km program. 60 second run with 90 second walk and repeat.

It started out feeling difficult. My legs were like cement and I couldn't get into a rhythm. After awhile, I eventually found my stride. It's just too bad that it wasn't until the end of my workout 40 minutes later.

Okay, so I don't exactly follow the program. Instead I use it as a minimum guideline. I run when I feel like it sometimes and longer than the 60 seconds that the program calls for in week one. I also jog through the cooldown. It is very freeing.

I'm sure I run like a dork, or at least that's how I picutre myself. It seems like everyone can tell I'm new at it. Maybe that's not the case. Anyhow I'm proud to say I've been getting in exercise this non-structured week and it feels good.

I've also been getting in a lot of leftover Easter candy, but that's another story.
