Doggie Run & A Core Class

Yesterday was Sunday. Normally Sundays are my lazy day. But. This week I consumed massive quanities of cadbury mini eggs... Or guilt eggs as I now will refer to them...and was hoping to burn off a tiny fraction of the total bajillion calories.

So I hooked up my doggie and she and I went for a 3.2km run around our neighbourhood. Well a walk/jog/run. Whatever you get the idea. I ran to week 2 day 1 of the couch to 5km program. I think it was run 90 seconds, walk 2 minutes and repeat, but I sometimes cheat and run more often and whenever I feel like it instead. I'll just call the c25k program a guideline. River, that's my doggie, loved the run. She only dead stopped twice and that was the fault of other bad doggies talking to her. I hope to take her out again soon.

I was lectured on the badness of guilt eggs by a coworker today and I know that they are bad. Bad, bad eggs. But they taste so yummy and even though it will take a month to burn off the evidence, the in the moment, the glory is too much to battle for one person alone.

Besides, my husband, who I will now refer to as the guilt egg provider, keeps buying bags of them and bringing them home. As if they are a staple item like milk or bread, and I may need them to survive. The thought is nice but not quite in the right place. Bringing home the guilt eggs. Not quite the same as bringing home the bacon..

So now onto today's workout. A new session of our work lunch exercise program began today. I'm enrolled in core class on Mondays. It was quite fun, although after Jillian's workouts this past month, it was very easy at times. I'm noticing changes in fitness level and it can only help to prepare me for the bootcamp ass kicking I have coming to me starting end of the month.

So getting back to the guilt eggs. My plan is to stare them down tonight and not allow even one of them will reach my tastebuds. It is a tough challenge, involving lots of pacing, glaring and Jedi mind tricks. I will show them who's boss...
