Day 17 of 30: Jubliations!
Today was basically a very lazy Sunday. Slept in until 11am. I know. Got up and bummed around the house for a bit and ate breakfast. Cut my husbands hair for him. Then around 2, I decided to workout.
It was rough trying to get motivated. Sundays are always hard it would seem. Or maybe its the years of being lazy catching up with me. I hear that old habits die hard, and I am living proof. I know it's only a 20 minute workout, with warm up and stretching added in on each end, but not something easily achieved on a Sunday. Today I just wanted to skip a day. Add it onto the end. Who would know? Take a rest day.
I didn't. I forced myself to get up and get moving if only for a short period of time. I would know, that's who. I am accountable to myself.
It always feels amazing to finish a workout, to acomplish something I set out to do. To be able to set a goal and keep at it is really empowering. I'm trying to focus day to day rather than counting down what I have left to go. I can finish this, sore knee and all. I will get through it even if I'm forced to do modified moves to help my knee.
After my daily workout, I showered, got dressed up, did my makeup and took an exceptionally long time at it if you ask my husband. We headed out the door to attend a family supper at Jubilations Dinner Theatre to celebrate Aunt Debbie and Jaime's birthdays this week. It was a very nice time and wonderful to spend time with family here in the city.
Tomorrow I'll get home from work and bust out workout #2, just like I have for past few days. In all it's plank-stinking glory I will do it!
